Miranda Designed for the character of a young widow in the movie ‘Light Bringer’ directed by Claire Forgie (Miss Aeryn Parker Productions)

A lovely mourning dress of black cotton print, it is inspired by the dresses of the regency period. Fitted around the bust with princess seams (front and back) it flares out into an A-line cut. Five pleats fall from the back. The sleeves are fairly loose and are brought in with a buttoned wristband edged with black lace. The same black lace is used under the bust and around the neckline. Black chiffon connects the cotton print collar with the rest of the dress and covered buttons adorn the front of the dress. It is worn over a separate black underdress which features a black lace neckline.
