Vanyanís' aim in construction is to create items that are always out-of-the-ordinary. We are unwavering in our goal to provide garments that outshine the average quality of many clothes that are available on today’s market.

To make garments of exceptional quality we start with the materials. We only use fabrics that are of outstanding quality (no matter how simple or extravagant the garment) and the threads used in construction are the best available. By being this selective of the materials used we are ensuring that our garments will be long wearing and won’t fall apart after washing or wearing only once or twice (as is common with many factory made clothes). No responsibility will be taken for the longevity or quality of fabric supplied by the client, but we will advise you on what we believe will be the most durable and hard wearing, or come up with a solution to strengthen the fabric.

Currently all Vanyanís garments are made-to-measure. This means that we are able to cater for all body shapes and sizes as every garment is made using a Vanyanís custom drafted pattern unique to the measurements of our individual clients. This also provides flexibility of design as each pattern can be tailored to design specifications as well as measurements. All Vanyanís garments are made and finished by hand.

Corsetry is a Vanyanís speciality. With six years of experience in corset patterning and construction Vanyanís corsets are made to last. Our corsets are made using a combination of the finest quality spiral and flat steel boning. Any steel busks used in a design are backed by a small modesty panel. We have tried, tested and found the most durable eyelets which are inserted by hand with steel washers. Each corset is heavily reinforced with a minimum of five layers of fabric to ensure long wearability. All bias and any other finishing touches are hand sewn. We can make corsets tight lacing if required. Like all our garments, Vanyanís corsets are uniquely patterned and designed for the individual, creating the perfect fit and style.

What makes Vanyanís outstanding in quality is that we believe the inside of a garment should look as good as the outside. Every care is taken to ensure a neat and professional finish on all clothing, inside and out. For the quality of work we provide our prices are not expensive and we always aim to keep our prices realistic. The type of garments Vanyanís create are not just something that can be ‘whipped up’ in a couple of hours. They are quality, unique one-off pieces that no one else has, made especially for you.

We prefer to work closely with our clients to ensure a perfect fit and never finish a garment without one or two fittings. If you do not live near Melbourne, some garments can still be made (by sending your measurements) but you will not be able to have a fitting.
